• Mandibular Suction Dentures

Despite the rising clinical reliance on implant therapy to treat edentulism, the vast majority of patients can only afford dentures and need practitioners who can offer this important treatment option with competence. However, fewer practitioners than ever are incorporating advancements in denture fabrication into their practice. We offer this complete denture prosthetics that combines a simple four-step fabrication technique with effective mandibular suction. Using the Biofunctional Prosthetic System (BPS)  A new approach to impression taking is outlined that uses a frame cut-back tray to record the specific anatomical features of dental soft tissue and the underlying bony structures and to minimize any distortion. This impression technique allows for a more accurate denture form and, thus, better denture suction. Included are discussions related to the management of complex cases of total edentulism in both the maxilla and mandible as well as instruction on esthetic enhancement of the patient.

    Partial Dentures

We understand how losing even just one tooth can impact upon your self-esteem. That is why, when you become a Les Gotts Denture Clinic patient, we will work closely with your needs to alleviate your concerns about getting dentures. By creating the partial dentures that look exactly like your own teeth, we will help you get back to a life you know a one where you can enjoy eating, talking and laughing again.

Why should your missing teeth be replaced?

Your teeth play an important role and it's just as important to replace your back teeth, as it is your front teeth.

Even one missing tooth can have a negative impact on your remaining teeth and oral health. When a tooth is missing the healthy adjacent teeth tend to tilt, rotate and shift affecting how your upper and lower teeth meet. This causes problems when chewing having an impact on surrounding muscles and your jaw joints.

A partial denture can be a great solution to replace teeth by -

Preventing further damage to your remaining teeth

Preventing your remaining teeth from tilting and moving

Restoring your smile and general appearance

    Improving your speech

Making eating a more comfortable and enjoyable experience

Just like your own natural teeth

Each of your new denture teeth will be carefully positioned by hand onto a base made from either a gum coloured plastic or a less bulky metal alloy base, restoring your appearance and function of your own natural teeth.

    Denture Repairs

We can repair dentures in the same day and if possible within an hour. We can repair fractured dentures, chipped teeth and replace missing teeth so they look like new. If your dentures break whilst you are wearing them, or have broken on multiple occasions there maybe something wrong with the way they fit. You shouldn't repair your dentures yourself with superglue. This may offer a quick solution but it rarely last that long and can make it impossible to repair youth denture again and cause permanent damage.

    Soft Linings

Sometimes a more definitive soft liner for a denture can be used for longer term care.

Soft liners are a tougher and more resilient material than a tissue conditioner. However, soft liners will collect more bacteria and fungi than a hard liner, so these are recommended for short terms.

    Injection Moulded Dentures

Injection moulding system for metal-free dentures, this is a range of biocompatible materials available guarantees a wide and varied application range of the system. This method features long-term stability, provides a dense and hence smooth surface.

This results in enhanced comfort of wearing of full dentures.

no residual monomer – high biocompatibility

limited water absorption – constant suction effect, lasting precision of fit

available in the shades: crystal-clear, pink 1, pink 2, pink 3, pink stippled

to be processsed at 260° C

    Chrome Cobalt Dentures

These are cast metal dentures generally considered to be the more permanent partial denture unlike plastic partial dentures are clipped to the natural teeth with clasps and most importantly incorporate rests on the teeth. The clasps hold the denture firm and the rests stop any damaging up and down movement. Chrome Cobalt partial dentures are far superior to plastic partial dentures because they are thinner and the gums stay healthier because the biting force is shared between the gums and the remaining teeth.

    Porcelain Teeth on Dentures

Tooth loss is unpleasant to face, but well-fitted partial or full dentures can be indistinguishable from your natural teeth. Dentures are available in several types of materials, including porcelain, acrylic resin and composite resins, with porcelain and acrylic resin being the most common.

Porcelain is a harder substance than acrylic, making porcelain teeth more durable, says DentureHelp. Because porcelain teeth resist wear, these dentures preserve the normal jaw movements and alignment for a longer period. Acrylic teeth are susceptible to abrasion, explains iDentalHub. Acrylic teeth will wear down with time, causing changes in the length of the teeth.

    Flexible Dentures

What if there were a way to replace missing teeth that didn't involve any expensive surgical procedures? What if there were an affordable method of tooth replacement that didn't sacrifice aesthetics? What if there existed a partial denture that could actually blend in with your natural dentition so that it appeared invisible in your mouth?

With the introduction of Valplast, nobody has to know that you are missing teeth. For more than five decades Valplast® flexible partials have been the preferred choice of patients looking for a method of tooth replacement that is aesthetic, comfortable and affordable. Valplast® partials cost less than dental implants and dental bridges and they require no surgery or invasive procedures. Compared to traditional metal partial dentures, Valplast® offers better aesthetics, comfort and durability. In fact, Valplast® partials are made from an unbreakable nylon resin and each Valplast® restoration comes with a lifetime guarantee against breakage and fracture.

It was long thought that removable partial dentures had to be rigid to be effective. The innovation of the Valplast® Flexible Partial allows the restoration to adapt to the constant movement and flexibility in your mouth. This is the underlying thinking behind Valplast's innovative flexible, removable partial denture. The flexibility, combined with strength and light weight, provides total comfort and great looks!

Valplast® partials are custom-fabricated in a dental laboratory. They are a prescription only product and your dentist can help you decide if they're right for you. The preparation is relatively simple because your natural teeth don't need to be altered in any way. The Valplast® partial is virtually invisible because there are no telltale metal clasps, and the material itself blends with the tissue in your mouth so that the only thing that shows is your beautiful smile.

When considering a removable partial, many people find the Valplast® Flexible Partial to be the most comfortable option, and the final restoration can be made very quickly! While the cost may be higher than a partial made with visible metal clasps, the results of the flexible partial are beautiful, and patient satisfaction is very high. The Valplast® Flexible Partial involves only non-invasive procedures, and gives you confidence in your restoration while talking, eating and most importantly, smiling!

    Swiss Precision Dentures

If you have been wearing dentures for some time, you may have noticed that your mouth has changed shape. This is because without the roots of your natural teeth, the bone in your jaw will begin to resorb and reduce in size. In your lower jaw this process can result in a flat ridge, leaving you with none of the retentive features necessary for a full lower denture. Without a secure fit, your lower denture can tilt, wobble or rub, which is an extremely unsatisfactory result for you.

Swiss dentures offer a distinct advantage over ordinary dentures. With a unique pestle and mortar design, Swiss denture teeth make chewing easier, especially when eating with a lower denture.  we will create the comfortable dentures that offer you greater security and improve your quality of life. Used in combination with dental implants, these natural-looking dentures are comparable in function to natural teeth.

Because no two mouths are alike, we will carefully measure and analyse the unique shape of your mouth. By carefully positioning the right combination of specially designed denture teeth, we will give you the best look, fit and feel from your Swiss dentures. With Swiss Dentures, you can enjoy the fit, feel and function of comfortable dentures that restore your ability to eat, talk and laugh freely.

    Denture Relines

As time goes by, the shape of your mouth and gums will change naturally. This can mean that over time, your dentures won't fit you the way they should. By adapting your dentures to fit with the unique and changing characteristics of your mouth, we will ensure that your dentures continue to offer you the best fit and feel.

A hard denture reline will improve the fit and stability of your dentures. Please note that you will be without your denture whilst the new base is positioned.

The following steps are used -

    1.     Remove some of the plastic from the inside your denture

    2.     Place a layer of soft impression material onto this trimmed surface

    3.     Repositioning inside your mouth to take an impression of the unique contours of your mouth

    4.     Using this accurate impression to create a new hard base

If you suffer with tender gums and sore spots, denture relining can help your dentures be kinder to your mouth. This is often the case for people who have a very flat lower ridge, which means that the retention of the lower denture is very poor. By adapting your denture with a material that remains soft and pliable (denture cushion), we can make your dentures much more comfortable to wear.

Please note that you will be without your denture whilst the new base is positioned. Every year or two the soft material will need to be replaced.

    High Strength Dentures

One of the reasons most dentures break prematurely, while in use, is because of repeated slight flexing resulting in stress fractures. Many high impact acrylics sacrifice flexural strength in favour of high impact strength dentures.

    Copy Dentures

If your dentures no longer fit properly and are uncomfortable to wear but you are happy with the shape, size and colour of the teeth then a copy can be made. We can produce a replica of your existing dentures with the advantage of incorporating new natural looking teeth whilst improving the way the denture fits.

    ·         A new fitting surface means the copy dentures will fit your mouth correctly and be more comfortable

    ·         Fewer appointments are needed and therefore treatment costs are reduced

    ·         Often no adjustments are needed afterwards

    ·         A good choice for elderly patients who would find it difficult to adapt to new dentures

    ·         This service can be carried out in your own home
